Tóth Ferenc Winery

Tóth Ferenc Winery was established in 1983, one of the oldest family owned wineries in the Eger Wine Region. Several generations, young and old members of the family work together passionately to enhance the good reputation of the winery and the wines of Eger. Their mission is to preserve the old, traditional character and flavours of Eger wines through a combination of the most up-to-date technologies and traditional ones. The founder Ferenc Tóth is a passionate oenologist, the ’Ambassador of the Kadarka variety’. With experience gained over more than 60 harvests he is the symbol of strength, dynamism and respect for grapes and nature. Today the winery – lead by his daughter Katalin – produces top quality wines especially from two local varieties, Leányka and Kadarka, but they also excel with the two iconic, traditional blends of the region, Egri Csillag and Egri Bikavér which are produced at three quality levels. They farm 30 hectares of vineyards in the best growing areas of the wine region.
